Mine Master designs and manufactures roof bolting rigs — mining bolters used for drilling holes and installing rock bolts that reinforce the roof and walls of underground excavations. Systematic roof bolting is the most widely used and cost-effective method of ground support in underground mining, stabilising the rock mass structure and preventing rock falls before they occur.
Roof bolting machines from Mine Master are available for a wide range of excavation heights — from ultra-low seam applications starting at 1,600 mm to larger standard headings. Each machine is configured to match the specific height, bolt length and ground support requirements of the operation, including ATEX-certified versions for explosion-hazard zones.
Mine Master's underground bolters are available in diesel and battery electric versions. Battery electric machines produce zero exhaust emissions underground, reduce heat load and operate significantly more quietly — key advantages in low-seam environments where ventilation costs are a critical factor.
Mine Master's roof bolting rigs can be equipped with an automatic bolting system developed in cooperation with J. H. Fletcher — reducing operator exposure in hazardous zones and improving bolting cycle times. The construction of each roof bolting rig and its working unit is customised to meet the individual requirements of the mine.
